My wife Noura and I have been married now for over 6 years. Noura is an electrical engineer specializing in designing alternative energy systems. She worked with NASA before coming to British Columbia. I am always proud and amazed when I say that she designed the power module that is currently running the Space-Station.
We have two daughter; Aida and Maya. Aida is almost six years old now and she loves to draw and swim. We named her after Ada Lovlace, a mathematician and the first computer programmer from the 18th century. Our youngest daughter Maya is almost four years old and she is full of life and wants to participate in everything we do.
I also have two grown children; Alexander and Tiffany. They both are UFV graduates. Alexander graduated with high marks from the CIS program and is currently working for Electronic Arts as the Technical Director. Tiffany graduated also with a high GPA from the Child and Youth Care program and is currently working for the ministry.
Our biggest challenge as a family in the 21st century is to provide quality time to our children. We tend to do that by multi-tasking, and time-sharing, and then we end up losing our memory and definitely needing more storage. I enjoy watching my children learn new methods every day to become more independent in mobility, thought and creativity. I believe that to succeed as parents, our goal is to grow happy, healthy, smart children so that their future and ours is enhanced and they become an asset to society and mankind. I take a lot of pride and pleasure in knowing that my older children are successful in their lives and are adding to the quality of life in our society.
